West Jakarta Library and Archive Sub-department (Sudinpusip) celebrates Jakarta Children Reading Day (Hanjaba) event by holding various competitions, such as storytelling, English speech, drawing, coloring, and writing.

For information, Hanjaba is an annual event held in all Jakarta regions including Thousand Islands to enhance children's interest in reading.
"There are 612 children participating in this event. We expect this event can grow their interest in reading," stated Rustam Effendi, West Jakarta Mayor, Wednesday (7/24).
According to him, children these days prefer to read via social media. Through this event, his side wants to introduce library as an important facility that can improve education quality for children.
